The problem

Most fitness advice wasn’t built for a postpartum body.

After a baby, most fitness advice either ignores what your body just went through or pushes you too hard, too fast. Random workouts, no guidance on your core or pelvic floor, and no time to do them anyway. You deserve better than “bounce back.”

The Mommy Fit Method

Three phases. One clear path back to strong.

The Mommy Fit Method is a real method with a clear progression, not a pile of random workouts. You move through three phases in order, so every step builds safely on the last, and you only move on when your body is ready.

Phase 1

Heal

Restore your core and pelvic floor, with breathing and alignment first. We start with diaphragmatic breathing, gentle core reconnection and posture work so your body has a strong, stable base. It is diastasis recti aware and safe after a vaginal or c-section birth.

In The 12-Week Reset: weeks 1 to 4

Phase 2

Rebuild

Progressive strength that works around feeding, sleep and carrying a baby. You add load a little at a time, learn to lift and carry well, and build strength for the movements motherhood asks of you every single day.

In The 12-Week Reset: weeks 5 to 8

Phase 3

Thrive

Full-strength training and habits that last. Harder workouts, more variety and a simple weekly rhythm that fits your life, so you keep feeling strong and like yourself long after the program ends.

In The 12-Week Reset: weeks 9 to 12

15 to 25 minutes

Every workout is short, so it fits into a nap, a quiet morning or the time before school pickup.

Equipment-light

All you need is a mat. Light bands and a core slider are nice to have, never required.

Designed for a day with a newborn

Pause for a feed, pick up where you left off, and still finish the week.

Our story

Meet Taylor Reese, founder of the Mommy Fit Method.

Taylor Reese is a certified pre- and postnatal trainer and a mom of two. After her first baby, she couldn’t find workouts that respected what a postpartum body actually needs. Everything was either too gentle to build real strength or far too much, too soon. So she built her own method around core and pelvic-floor recovery, safe progression and the real schedule of life with a newborn.

It started as a free Instagram series. Moms kept showing up and asking for more, and it grew into programs used by tens of thousands of moms. Then trainers started asking Taylor to teach them how she coaches, so she built the Mommy Fit Certified Postpartum Coach certification. Today more than 2,000 certified coaches in 30+ countries use the method with their own clients.

FAQ

Questions moms and coaches ask us.

Still wondering about something? Email hello@mommyfitmethod.com and a real person on our team will write back within one business day.

Is it safe if I had a c-section?

Yes, once your doctor or midwife has cleared you to exercise. Phase 1 was built with c-section recovery in mind, so we start with breathing, gentle core reconnection and scar-friendly positions before adding any load. You move on when your body is ready, not when a calendar says so.

When can I start postpartum?

Most moms start Phase 1 after their postpartum checkup, usually around six weeks after a vaginal birth and eight weeks after a c-section. The early breathing and alignment work is gentle enough that many providers are happy for you to begin sooner. If you are unsure, check with your provider first.

Do I need equipment?

No. Every workout can be done with your body weight and a mat. Light resistance bands and a core slider add variety in Phase 2 and Phase 3, which is why they come in the Core Recovery Kit, but they are always optional.

How is the certification delivered?

The Mommy Fit Certified Postpartum Coach certification is online and self-paced, so you can study around your clients. You get video lessons, programming templates, live group coaching calls and a private coach community. Most coaches finish in 10 to 12 weeks, then get listed in the Mommy Fit coach directory.

Can I do this if my baby is older?

Absolutely. It is never too late to rebuild your core and pelvic floor, whether your youngest is six months or six years old. You will still start with Phase 1, and you may simply move through it faster.

Strong looks good on you.

Give yourself 15 minutes today. Start with Phase 1, go at your body’s pace, and build strength that lasts, with a method made by a mom who’s been there.
